The church in Zurich

Warmly welcomes you!

We are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who have personally received Him as our Savior. He is the most excellent and enjoyable person. We love Him and endeavour to give Him the first place in all things. We rejoice to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, born again of the Father’s divine life, and filled with the Holy Spirit. We highly treasure the Holy Bible as God’s revelation of Himself and of His eternal purpose. We hold the common faith that is revealed in the Bible and is common to all genuine believers. As is true of all believers in Christ, we are members of His one Body, the church. In order to practice the oneness of the Body with all the Christians in Zurich, we meet as the church in Zurich. We are in fellowship with thousands of local churches worldwide to express the one Body of Christ. The church in Zurich is not our name—it’s our description. As such, it’s an inclusive title, not an exclusive one. We gather together simply as believers of the Lord in this city, and we receive as our brothers and sisters all who believe in Jesus Christ. Likewise, we warmly welcome guests and visitors who are not Christians.

Our Beliefs

We hold the faith which is common to all the believers. (Titus 1:4; Judas 3)

THE BIBLE AS THE WORD OF GOD

The Bible is the complete divine revelation inspired word by word by God through the Holy Spirit.
(2 Peter1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16)

GOD

God is uniquely one, yet triune — the Father, the Son, and the Spirit.
(1 Timothy 2:5; Matthew 28:19)

JESUS CHRIST

The Son of God, even God Himself, was incarnated to be a man by the name of Jesus Christ.
(John 1:1, 14)

THE DEATH OF CHRIST

Christ died on the cross for our sins, shedding His blood for our redemption.
(1 Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7)

THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST

Christ resurrected from among the dead on the third day.
(1 Corinthians 15:4)

CHRIST'S ASCENSION

Christ ascended to the right hand of God to be Lord of all.
(Acts 1:9; 2:33, 36)

SALVATION

Whenever any person repents to God and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, he is regenerated (born again) and becomes a living member of the one Body of Christ.
(Acts 20:21; John 3:3; Ephesians 1:22-23; Romans 12:5)

CHRIST'S SECOND COMING

Christ is coming again to receive His believers to Himself.
(1 Thessalonians 2:19)

THE CHURCH

The church, composed of all the genuine believers in Christ, is the Body of Christ. This universal Body is practically manifested as local churches, each of which encompasses all of the believers in a given city.
(Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:4; Colossians 1:24; Revelation 1:11)

For Visitors

We warmly welcome you to the church in Zurich!

We are believers in Jesus Christ from all backgrounds who gather locally as the Lord’s testimony in Zurich. We have listed some frequently asked questions below. Read through some of our responses to these questions or ask us a question using the contact form.

Questions and Answers

What denomination are you?
We are not part of any denomination. We seek to follow the New Testament pattern set up and ordained by God according to the principle of the New Testament revelation.

Who is your pastor?
While there are many who serve as shepherds and teachers among us, including the elders of the church, along with others who have the spiritual gift of shepherding and teaching (Eph. 4:11; 1 Pet. 5:1-3; Acts 20:28), all Christians have the innate capacity to contact God, worship God, be filled with God, pray to God, speak for God, and represent God (Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 14:31; 1 Pet. 2:9; Rom. 1:9).

I’m looking for fellowship, but I’m not ready to attend a Sunday meeting yet. Can someone visit me or call me?
Absolutely. Attending a Sunday meeting is not the only way to have fellowship with us. If you leave your contact information on the form below we will be sure to contact you promptly and in a manner that makes you most comfortable.

What can I expect when I come to a meeting?
You should expect a warm welcome and to meet some joyful Christians. We love to sing with our hearts to the Lord and to speak to one another in psalms and hymns (Eph. 5:19). Our gatherings are characterized by mutuality: we encourage praise, prayer, and testimonies from one another. Our only goal is to worship the Lord in spirit and truthfulness (John 4:24).

What should I wear?
We have no dress code, and we simply encourage you to be led by the Spirit in all things (Rom. 8:14).

How can I become a member of your church?
We have no formal membership process. We believe that once you become a spiritual member of the Body of Christ by repenting and believing into Jesus Christ, you are a member of the church (Rom. 12:5).
